When home is where the hurt is
2009
Format: DVD
A documentary on domestic violence, created by three agencies in New South Wales, Domestic and Family Violence Intervention Service, Macarthur Legal Centre and Campbelltown Domestic Violence Liaison Committee. Victims of domestic violence are interviewed about their experiences of physical and emotional violence (mainly women, with one male victim). The reason for making the film was to try to educate people about the horror of violence happening in people's homes, and to encourage people to seek assistance to change their lifestyle for the better, and avoid the consequences. The illustration on the cover - 40 pairs of shoes - represent 40 people who were killed during domestic violence incidents in NSW in 2008
