Staying Home Staying Safe

 Our Vision

Every woman and child has a right to live in their own home free from abuse, violence or fear.

Our Aim

To give women and children experiencing domestic or family violence the choice to remain in contact with their communities, schools and support systems by assisting them to remain in their own home if they wish to.

To reduce homelessness for women and children who have been subject to domestic or family violence.

Eligibility

Women:

- with or without children.
- at risk of homelessness due to domestic or family violence.
-
wanting help to stay in their own home without the violent person.
-
living in housing capable of being made safer by the addition of home security.

Services Provided

Home safety audits

Provision of tailored home security packages including installation of locks, sensor lights, alarms etc.

Safety planning assistance

Linking to additional support services

We Believe:

That women and children have the right to be safe from harm.

That it is better if women and children can remain in their homes and communities and have the violence leave.

That Staying Home Staying Safe provides an alternative for women and children experiencing domestic or family violence.
