History of the Victim Support Service Inc.

In 1979 former Police Commissioner Ray Whitrod met with some of the parents of the Truro and Family murder victims to discuss their experiences and need to improve services and support for crime victims. Victim Support Service started as a small support group and has grown into the statewide service delivery and advocacy body it is today.

"Crime, It Can Happen To You" - the story of Victim Support Service, by Jo Robinson

This book explores all aspects of Victim Support Service from its humble beginnings to the many achievements that have occurred since that time, especially the organisation's influence on legal changes which benefit crime victims.

Crime, It Can Happen To You is an entertaining story that will be useful for anyone who has been a victim of crime, has a relative or friend needing advice and support, or an interest in crime.

This book can be yours for a small donation.
