Community Education

 

Victim Support Service provides education to the community generally, and other service delivery agencies about crime victims rights and needs.

 

It is important that victims can access quality assistance in their local community through generic service providers if they wish. Thus Victim Support Service provides:

 

• community talks to service clubs and other groups
• training for other agencies
• media comments
• presentations, conferences and seminars
• participation in community forums and public events
• written information on victims issues
• a modern up-to-date Resource Centre
• articles for publication
